As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of a team designing and building innovative solutions for space exploration.
This role is focused on the Starship program, where you will work with cross-functional teams to develop critical production assets.
The successful candidate will have experience with CAD software, mechanical structures, and finite element analysis. Additionally, they should be able to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment and collaborate effectively with engineers, technicians, and suppliers.
Responsibilities include designing and building custom machinery, developing manufacturing processes, and collaborating with vehicle engineers to maximize production rate.
Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, experience with CAD software, and 1+ year of experience in mechanical engineering or a related field.
* Design and build custom machinery and infrastructure to support Starship production
* Develop manufacturing processes to enable rapid production and handling of Starship launch vehicles
* Collaborate with vehicle engineers to influence design and manufacturing processes
Key Skills:
* Experience with CAD software (e.g. Solidworks, NX, CATIA)
* Ability to design and analyze mechanical structures
* Strong understanding of GD&T and finite element analysis
Additionally, the ideal candidate will have experience working in a production facility with equipment and machinery, managing large CAD assembly models, and designing and testing mechanisms.
