Metal Machinist Position
We are seeking a skilled Metal Machinist to join our team. As a key member of our production department, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machines, as well as performing manual machining tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
* Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to program, set up and operate CNC machines.
* Use CAD/CAM software to create 3D solid models from 2D drawings and generate CNC programs.
* Write and modify CNC programs using G-code and other programming languages to meet customer specifications.
* Set up and operate manual milling machines, lathes, grinders, and other machine tools to produce precision parts.
* Perform quality control checks on machined parts using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, gauges, and calipers.
* Troubleshoot and solve problems with CNC machines and manual equipment to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency.
Requirements:
* Certification in Turner/Metal Machinist Class 1 or equivalent.
* Manual machining experience with conventional milling machines and lathes, as well as CNC machining experience working with ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
* CNC programming and operating experience with Fanuc-type machines.
* Experience with CAD/CAM software and the ability to use Fusion 360 is highly desirable.
