Job Opportunity
NollyCinema Productions Australia is looking for an Event Setup Labourer who is responsible for assisting with the preparation, setup, and breakdown of event equipment and materials. This role involves physical labor, teamwork, and attention to detail to ensure events are executed safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
* Load and unload event equipment (tables, chairs, staging, tents, décor, AV equipment)
* Set up and dismantle event spaces according to floor plans and supervisor instructions
* Arrange furniture and equipment to meet event specifications
* Assist with staging, lighting, and basic audio-visual setup (if required)
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of event areas
* Follow health and safety regulations at all times
* Handle equipment carefully to prevent damage
* Provide on-site support during events as needed
* Perform post-event breakdown and ensure equipment is properly stored or transported
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Ability to perform physically demanding work (lifting, carrying, bending, standing for long periods)
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
* Ability to follow instructions and work under tight deadlines
* Flexible availability (evenings, weekends, early mornings)
* Reliable and punctual
* Previous event or labor experience preferred but not required
Physical Requirements
* Ability to lift 50 lbs (or more, depending on company policy)
* Standing and walking for extended periods
* Frequent bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling
Working Conditions
* Indoor and outdoor event environments
* Exposure to various weather conditions
* Fast-paced and deadline-driven setting
* May require shift work, weekends, and holidays
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $68,000.00 per hour
