All about the role
Needed to cover a minimum of two days on 30th September and 1st October, with an option for up to 1–2 weeks. The position is at a mixed billing clinic operating Monday to Friday, 9 am‐5 pm, with a brand‐new Canon machine. Caseload includes MSK, general, small parts, breast, OB, and some GP‐referred vascular scans. Requires at least three years' experience in private practice.
* Cover scanning duties for the duration of the locum.
* Perform scans, including MSK, general, small parts, breast, OB, and GP‐referred vascular.
* Utilise a brand‐new Canon ultrasound machine.
* Manage evenly spaced caseload, with support from reception for fit‐ins.
* Provide high‐quality imaging inline with protocols, procedures, and policies.
* Use Sono Review for reporting.
The skills and experience needed for this job
* Minimum Experience: At least 3 years as a sonographer in private practice.
* Technical Proficiency: Skilled in performing MSK, general, small parts, breast, OB, and GP‐referred vascular scans.
* Equipment Familiarity: Experience with, or ability to quickly adapt to, Canon ultrasound machines.
* Caseload Management: Ability to handle evenly spaced caseload with potential fit‐ins, supported by a well‐managed reception team.
* Reporting Skills: Proficiency in reporting, with knowledge or adaptability to Sono Review.
* Credentialling: ASAR – full registration – correct working rights for Australia – adequate references – proof of vaccinations – completion of mandatory training (our team can step you through).
