Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement personalised learning plans in collaboration with the student's support team.
- Foster a safe and supportive learning environment that encourages social and emotional growth.
- Provide direct instruction and support, adapting materials and methods to suit the student's learning style and needs.
- Monitor and assess the student's progress, adjusting strategies as necessary to ensure continuous development.
- Collaborate with other educators, specialists, and family members to ensure a holistic approach to the student's education.
- Maintain detailed records of the student's progress and communicate regularly with guardians.
About You:
- Registered Teacher with relevant qualifications
- Proven experience working with students with complex needs and disabilities
- Knowledge and experience with Autism and Pathological Demand Avoidance
- Skilled in trauma-informed and strength-based practices
- Cooperative team player with excellent communication skills
- Warm, energetic and adaptive with a growth mindset
- Confident using visual supports, sensory strategies, and regulation tools
