The opportunity
We are in the market for an experienced and qualified professional; Recreation Centres – Business Development Officer. You are passionate about your profession and enjoy the rewards of a good challenge.
The City of Mandurah is seeking a motivated and customer‑focused Business Development Officer to join the team at the Mandurah Aquatic and Recreation Centre (MARC). This role is responsible for collecting, analysing and reporting on member and customer data to inform evidence‑based decision‑making and support the achievement of key performance objectives. Working collaboratively across the centre, the position plays a pivotal role in developing and delivering initiatives that increase community participation, strengthen membership attraction and retention, and enhance engagement with members, local businesses and key stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Diploma in Business, Commerce or related discipline
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
* Strong commitment to customer service and delivery
* Demonstrated knowledge of sales promotions and stakeholder engagement
* Experience in analysing, summarising and interpreting data, statistics and factors affecting member retention, development and business growth
* Proven experience in undertaking analysis of customers’ needs and working across multi-functional teams
* Capabilities in business development, strong organisational and interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communications skills
* Strong digital literacy, written and presentation skills
* National Police Clearance (within 3 months of date of issue)
* Experience within the health and fitness industry (desirable)
* Experience with marketing planning and implementation (desirable)
