About the Role
We are seeking exploration geoscientists with significant experience to join our team. You will be involved in exploring multiple Australian basins, applying your skills in seismic interpretation, remote sensing data analysis, regional geology, structural geology, and stratigraphy – and testing your ideas with the drillbit
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Comprehensive seismic interpretation, including data conditioning, tying wells, mapping surfaces, and depth conversion, as well as utilising DHI attributes and sleuthing methods.
* Analysis and integration of remote sensing datasets such as gravity, magnetics, and satellite slicks, alongside regional geological studies covering plate tectonics and hyperextended margins.
* Basin modelling using both 1D and 3D approaches, play and prospect mapping, and the identification and evaluation of various structural and stratigraphic traps.
* Collaboration within small teams to integrate diverse datasets and evaluate farm-out opportunities.
* Application of robust structural geology and clastic stratigraphy skills, particularly in frontier and development settings, with the business acumen to make sound technical decisions.
* Play integration and assessment (uncertainty and risk modelling), prospect generation, resource assessment and well planning.
About You
We are looking for individuals who have a proven track record of exploration success and possess the following skills:
* Strong integrated seismic interpretation skills.
* Familiarity with remote sensing data sets and various prospecting methods.
* Robust structural geology and clastic stratigraphy skills.
* A comprehensive understanding and capability in probabilistic resource assessment
* Business understanding and acumen to make sound technical decisions.
