Join Logan Hospital in Meadowbrook as a Principal House Officer/Registrar in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in a temporary full‐time or part‐time capacity through to February 2027, gaining hands‐on experience across a high‐volume, supportive clinical environment.
About This Role
As a Principal House Officer (PHO)/Registrar, you will play a key role in delivering high‐quality patient care across inpatient and outpatient services within a busy and evolving Obstetrics and Gynaecology department, working under the guidance of experienced consultants.
Your Responsibilities
* Provide clinical care across the Birth Suite, Acute Gynaecology, outpatient clinics and surgical lists.
* Assess, diagnose and manage patients, including those referred from Emergency and other units.
* Develop and implement management plans in collaboration with consultants and multidisciplinary teams.
* Perform procedures in line with your level of training and experience.
* Supervise and support junior medical staff and contribute to their development.
* Participate in rostered shifts including evenings, weekends and on‐call.
* Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure effective communication and handover.
* Engage in teaching, audits, research and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
About You
* Current registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia.
* Experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (minimum 12 months highly regarded).
* Ability to manage a busy birth suite with appropriate supervision.
* Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic and procedural skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
* Effective time management, prioritisation and resilience under pressure.
* Commitment to continuous learning, education and professional development.
