Overview A leading property group is seeking a Senior Commercial Design Lead to take ownership of design across a diverse commercial and retail portfolio. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will shape design outcomes while also actively producing concepts, documentation and technical drawings. You’ll play a key role in driving asset performance through smart, functional and high-quality design across refurbishments, upgrades, and tenancy fit-outs. The Role This position sits within a high-performing Property & Projects team and works closely with Leasing, Facilities and Asset Management to deliver commercially driven design solutions. You will be responsible for both strategy and execution—ensuring design outcomes enhance asset value, tenant experience and leasing success. Key Responsibilities Lead design direction across commercial, retail and common area projects Remain hands-on in Revit/AutoCAD producing test fits, layouts and documentation Manage tenancy fit-out reviews and approvals from concept through delivery Oversee refurbishment and capital works design from concept to construction Coordinate external consultants, architects and contractors Ensure compliance with NCC, BCA, accessibility and safety standards Support leasing teams with space planning and design input Drive upgrades to lobbies, amenities and shared spaces across the portfolio Maintain high-quality design standards across all documentation Contribute to ESG and sustainability-led design initiatives About You 10 years’ experience in commercial design, interior design or architecture Strong background in commercial office, mixed-use or retail environments Confident using Revit and AutoCAD daily (hands-on capability essential) Experience in tenancy fit-out review and base building coordination Strong understanding of construction, compliance and delivery processes Comfortable working across multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment Commercially minded with a strong eye for detail and design quality Why This Role This is an opportunity to step into a pivotal design leadership role where your work directly influences asset value, leasing outcomes and the future look and feel of a major property portfolio.
