Job Overview:
The role of Injury Management Specialist is pivotal in ensuring the successful return to work of employees who have suffered injuries.
As a member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing injury management strategies that prioritize the health, safety, and well-being of our staff.
You will collaborate closely with claims operations and treatment providers to establish effective provider management strategies and relationships, ensuring timely management of medical and rehabilitation requests.
Additionally, you will provide high-level customer service to stakeholders involved in the treatment and service provision to claimants, aligning with our organization's values.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement injury management practices to improve MAC claim outcomes
* Establish and maintain provider management strategies and relationships
* Ensure timely management of medical & rehabilitation requests
* Provide high-level customer service to all stakeholders involved in the treatment and service provision
* Coach and mentor claims teams
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Extensive experience in occupational rehabilitation, claims management, and/or return to work
* Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or industry accreditations
* Understanding of relevant regulatory and/or legislative compliance requirements
* Coaching and mentoring experience
* Clinical reasoning for decision making
* Ability to leverage emerging technologies
