Lead Clinical Director, Nursing and Midwifery
An exciting opportunity to lead the delivery of professional leadership, development and direction of nursing and midwifery clinical standards across a local health district. This is a high-profile executive leadership role requiring effective leadership to the nursing and midwifery professions.
The successful candidate will ensure the development and implementation of the clinical scope of practice for both nurses and midwives, supported by appropriate standards and professional development strategies.
This role requires the ability to develop and implement a framework for continuous improvement in the quality of service and practice, safeguarding high standards of care, promoting excellence in clinical care through clinical governance, and supporting effective patient flow and utilization of hospital care settings.
* Demonstrated experience in budgetary, financial and human resource management, including strategic planning, integration and evaluation skills to ensure available resources are used effectively.
* Demonstrated analytical, conceptual, problem-solving/negotiation and change management skills.
* High level communication and interpersonal skills to ensure relationships are built and maintained with relevant staff and groups.
* Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of government regulations, nursing and midwifery issues, objectives and reform agendas.

* Demonstrated record of achievement in management in a large and complex organization.
* Proven experience at a senior nursing/midwifery level.
* Current Registration as Registered Nurse Division 1 or Registration as a Registered Nurse Division 1 and Registered Midwife with the Nurses and Midwives Board of Australia.
