A State Government agency is seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to manage end-to-end procurement and tender processes. This is a hands‑on role ideal for a highly independent, resilient professional who can hit the ground running in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and manage tender processes from concept to contract execution
* Provide expert advice on procurement strategy, tendering methods, and commercial matters
* Draft business cases, board reports, briefing notes, and Finance Committee papers
* Ensure procurement processes comply with government policies, statutory requirements, and probity standards
Ideal Candidate
* Extensive experience managing end-to-end government tenders
* Strong knowledge of VGPB or equivalent frameworks
* Excellent commercial acumen and understanding of procurement governance
* Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines
