The role
We're currently recruiting for a Senior Accountant or Assistant Manager to join an advisory and accounting team supporting a diverse portfolio of clients including SMEs, private and large businesses. This role offers a strong mix of tax, compliance, advisory and client‐facing work.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity with a hybrid work arrangement. The role offers long‐term career development, exposure to larger clients and advisory‐focused work, and the opportunity to grow toward future leadership responsibilities.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Prepare and review tax returns, BAS and financial statements.
- Support business advisory and tax planning engagements.
- Manage client relationships and provide practical financial advice.
- Review and support work completed by junior team members.
- Work closely with senior leaders across a range of client engagements.
Skills and Requirements
- Degree‐qualified Accountant with CA/CPA qualification or currently working toward completion.
- Minimum ~5 years' of experience within a public practice accounting, business services, or business advisory environment.
- Experience supporting a diverse client portfolio including SMEs, private businesses, family groups, business owners and high‐net‐worth individuals.
- Experience preparing and reviewing tax returns, BAS, financial statements and tax compliance work.
- Must be an AU/NZ citizen or hold PR.
