About The Role
The Senior Management Accountant – Operations will manage and oversee the district's management accounting function. Reporting to the manager of Management Accounting, this role is responsible for delivering high‑quality budgeting, end‑of‑month processes, operational forecasting and financial reporting.
The position is responsible for supporting and leading the wider Management Accounting and Business Manager team, providing supervision, coaching and guidance to ensure a consistent and high standard of service across the organisation.
In this role, you will provide financial advice to managers and directors, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information used for operational and strategic decision‑making. You will play a key part in annual service and business planning by delivering insightful financial analysis and interpreting data to inform future direction. Your ability to translate analytical findings into clear, meaningful advice will be essential in supporting financial sustainability across the district.
This position is well suited to a collaborative leader with strong management accounting experience, advanced analytical capability and the confidence to influence stakeholders.
