In the role of Land Transaction Officer in the Compensation and Conveyancing team, Land Transaction Services (LTS), you will provide assistance and advice to the unit and stakeholders and will undertake the administrative processes required to ensure land is acquired, disposed of and recorded in the department's TMR's asset register using procedures that are compliant with relevant legislation and departmental TMR policies, guidelines, and standards.
**Some of your responsibilities will include**:
- Provide information, advice and support in relation to land transaction matters, practices and processes to ensure compliance to departmental TMR policy, and legal and procedural requirements for various land transactions, including contributing to process the continuous improvements of land transaction processes.
- Prepare and manage contracts of sale/disposal, compensation offer letters and associated documentation, undertake required searches, liaise with internal and external clients and/or client representatives, calculate settlement payments, prepare required title documentation, and attend settlements in relation to property acquisitions and disposals.
- Update, maintain and accurately enter data and documentation into the relevant Property systems and maintain document records to ensure the information is captured in a timely and efficient manner and in line with TMR's record management procedures.
- Monitor, prioritise and manage work tasks, and ensure accurate and quality outputs are completed within required timeframes and service standards.
Requirements of the role
- Experience in, or ability to, assist and implement suitable acquisition strategies and processes for the timely and lawful resumption and acquisition of land, and the administration of land for TMR.
- Ability to maintain a high standard of practice through governance and attention to detail and demonstrating accountability for the execution and quality of results from diligence, transparency and proficiency.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external clients and stakeholders and strengthen individual talents and capabilities within the team.
- Ability to effectively prioritise and thrive in a fast-paced, time pressured, environment.
- Although not mandatory, conveyancing experience is highly desirable.
