Queensland Corrective Services is seeking dynamic and experienced Psychologists to join our team at various correctional centres in Southeast Queensland. As the Senior Psychologist, you will provide high-level clinical leadership and operational management to a team delivering mental health and rehabilitation services in correctional centres. You'll be instrumental in shaping service delivery, driving quality improvement, and fostering a high-performing team culture.

We are looking some those with advanced clinical expertise in mental health, leadership and team management experience and excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

The QCS mental health workforce is currently undergoing a period of change and is expanding its mental health leadership workforce. There has never been a more exciting time to come and work with us in one of these roles.

As a Senior Psychologist, you'll play a pivotal role in leading clinical practice and managing a multidisciplinary team within a correctional environment. You'll provide clinical supervision, drive service consistency, and support staff development — all while making a meaningful impact.

We have a number of permanent and temporary roles at the following correctional centres:

* Brisbane Correctional Centre (Wacol)
* Wolston Correctional Centre (Wacol)
* Southern Queensland Correctional Centre (Gatton)

This is a unique operating environment where you and your team will be supported with professional development and supervision. You will contribute to ongoing operational service integrity by providing clinical supervision and leadership to the team on their delivery of assessments, as well as group and individual interventions.

Each day you will be:

• demonstrating your advanced clinical skills in the provision of clinical care, and maintaining a client caseload commensurate with responsibilities of the role

• using frameworks to guide professional judgement, problem solve and manage complex situations.

• coordinating the process of referral, crisis management, assessment, reviews and transition planning within a case management framework

• chairing and leading multi-disciplinary meetings, for example, those that oversee centre decision-making regarding suicide risk assessment and management, and case management of prisoners with complex needs

• collaborating with key stakeholders to develop partnerships that contribute to operational and clinical outcomes.

Qualifications, professional registration, conditions and other requirements:

• Possession of bachelor's degree (4 year) in psychology or behavioural science.

• General registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency is mandatory.

Applications to remain current for 12 months.
