About the role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Jewellery salesperson/manager to join our team at McLean & Co Jewellers' in Buddina, Queensland. The position will see you working with the owners to deliver an exceptional customer experience and drive sales growth. The owners wish to step back to work on business expansion so you will be responsible for running the store while the owners are away and maintaining all aspects of the store to the highest standard. Our team comprises of Jewellers, Diamond setters, CAD designers, jewellery suppliers, subcontractors, photographers and content creators so a history of sales as well as working within a creative industry is desirable.
What you'll be doing
1. Working with the owners in and on the business while maintaining our high standards and overseeing the team allowing the owners to step back and develop and expand new areas of the business.
2. Develop and implement sales strategies both instore and online to meet and exceed targets.
3. Maintain an expert level of product knowledge to advise customers on jewellery selection and provide clients informed recommendations.
4. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the store, including liaising with the jewellers, CAD designer and associated trades, inventory management, visual merchandising and administrative duties.
5. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and continuous improvement.
6. Identify and capitalize on opportunities to enhance the customer experience and drive sales growth.
What we're looking for
1. Minimum 3 years' experience, preferably within the jewellery, luxury goods, manufacturing jeweller or gemstone industry. Jewellery designing and sketching abilities will be highly desirable.
2. Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and team members. Experience with online sales platforms and social media platforms.
3. Demonstrated success in leading and motivating a team to achieve sales targets and provide a high level of customer satisfaction.
4. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think strategically and adapt to changing business needs.
5. Excellent communication and organizational skills and an ability to think creatively to solve problems as they arise.
6. Must be available to work through peak holiday periods and Saturdays as required.
7. Must be comfortable with working within a family-owned and operated business.
