The Role
At Headquarters Joint Operations Command (HQJOC), the most important resource is its people. The second most important resource is their time.
Key day-to-day tasks may include:
Facilitate the HQJOC Battle Rhythm Working Group;
Serve as secretary of various boards and meetings;
Manage the 7-Minute Drill updates;
Represent the Deputy Chief of Staff when required;
Liaise closely with Joint Staff for Battle Rhythm updates;
Integrate cyclic review and process assessment events into the HQJOC Battle Rhythm;
Maintain/develop key documents and Instructions related to the role;
Develop and maintain procedures to ensure HQJOC can effectively adjust its Battle Rhythm to respond to a changing strategic environment;
Facilitate content updates on the Battle Rhythm SharePoint page;
Maintain detailed key contact lists for boards and cross-functional events, meetings and working groups.
About our Team
This position forms part of a small tight-knit team in support of the Deputy Theatre Commander. The Deputy Theatre Commander, which is a key leadership position within Headquarters Joint Operations Command, which oversees the conduct of ADF operations. The incumbent will directly work for a military officer and their colleagues will be a mixture of Australian Defence Force, Foreign Military, Australian Public Servants and contracted personnel.
