The Role
As a Production Supervisor or a Cabinet Maker with years of experience managing a small team, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations including performance management, training, problem solving, assigning tasks, monitoring orders and improving CI processes.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a team of 4 employees in the warehouse and the factory.
* Motivate, guide and mentor team members to achieve goals.
* Promote and demonstrate effective communication and a positive culture.
* Oversee day-to-day operations of the warehouse and factory, including overall performance management, training and development, identifying, analysing and resolving work problems.
* Implement continuous improvement processes and develop innovative strategies to streamline factory operations such as lean management.
* Develop production schedules based on information from the Installation Coordination team, assign duties to employees and monitor orders.
* Provide hands-on support as required.
* Operate any of the machines as needed.
Requirements
* 3 years factory or production management experience, preferred with commercial shop fitting or cabinet making essential.
* Strong management and leadership skills.
* Strong understanding of working with compact and structural laminate.
* Some CNC machining experience would be advantageous.
* Ability to use Microsoft Office.
* Robust problem-solving skills addressing production and equipment challenges.
* Outstanding time-management skills.
* Excellent analytical and communication skills.
* Willingness and ability to work in the factory when required.
* Proficient in the usage of beam saws, edge banders, spindle moulders etc.
On Offer
Permanent day shift role.
Hours: 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.
Salary: 90K to 100K + super + annual bonus.
Eligibility: Must be an Australian citizen or holder of an Australian permanent residency visa.
