Role Overview
This is an opportunity to join the Enterprise Financial Services (EFS) function within Finance as a Payroll Specialist. In this role, you will serve as the local point of contact for payroll-related requests and issues, collaborating with key business stakeholders and promoting the adoption of new processes, policies, and guidelines.
You will be responsible for addressing time-sensitive queries, preparing correspondence, processing workers' compensation, salary continuation, and other payroll matters.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the process interface with Payroll Operations Team, ANZ Teams, stakeholders, and serve as the in-country liaison person with People Team, Manufacturing Team Leads, and Approvers on all local payroll matters;
* Responsible for addressing time sensitive queries/ escalations and calculation requests; prepares and issues appropriate correspondence;
* Responsible for the processing and handling of workers' compensation, salary continuation, complicated transactions, recalculations, overpayments, leave reconciliations, and proper recording of payroll transfers;
* Responsible for the processing and handling of Superannuation returns, diversions, reconciliations, and Expat's Superannuation including computation, reporting, payment;
* Responsible for the processing and handling of Monthly payroll tax reporting (PAYG reconciliation);
* Responsible for the completeness and accuracy of the Australian superannuation payments, including handling returns and unregistered funds, stopping payments as required, and reconciling payments with the accounting team;
* Support for related accounting, statutory reporting, and submissions to relevant government agencies and other external parties in conjunction with Finance accounting team;
* Protects confidential information and ensures compliance with process and regulation within remit of role;
* Provide back-up support for Payroll Operation Teams as required;
* Any other duties as directed.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will require:
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in ANZ payroll operations to demonstrate competency across a wide range of payroll areas within a complex or multi-site organization;
* Interpersonal skills to liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders;
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to ensuring accuracy and compliance;
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders;
* Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a high level of confidentiality and integrity;

Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with ADP Payroll services;
* Excellent collaborator;
* Comfortable working as part of a geographically remote team;
* Strong understanding of end-to-end payroll processing;
* Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance;
* Payroll and HRIS systems experience, ideally in Workday, Kronos, ADP;
* Experience working autonomously within a complex environment with in-country and offshore support shared service model.
