We're offering an exciting opportunity for a skilled Financial Accountant to join a fast-growing hospitality group expanding its footprint in Australia. This full-time role is central to supporting financial operations and ensuring accurate, timely reporting as the business scales.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis
- Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies
- Contribute to special projects and ad-hoc financial tasks
- Manage payroll tax submissions and Payment Times Reporting System lodgements
- Support BAS, tax reporting, payroll reconciliation, and external audits
- Respond to financial queries and collaborate across departments
Your Profile
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- CPA or CA qualified, or actively working towards certification
- 2-5 years of experience in a financial accounting role
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Experience in hospitality or food manufacturing is a plus
- Must have valid Australian work rights
