Job Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our team in Jindabyne NSW. As a key member of the kitchen crew, you will be responsible for overseeing and assisting in the preparation, bulk cooking, and presentation of meals to a consistently high standard across various group settings.
You will cater for large school groups, corporate functions, and general day-to-day guests, ensuring that all meals meet dietary requirements and allergen controls, particularly when catering for children.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Cert III in Commercial Cookery (essential)
* Food Safety Supervisor certification (highly regarded)
* Proven experience in bulk or high-volume cooking environments
* Strong understanding of allergen management and dietary needs, particularly in settings involving children
* Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate with both junior and senior kitchen staff
* Passionate about fresh, café-style food with an eye for quality and presentation
* Sound knowledge of food safety standards, OH&S practices, and kitchen compliance requirements
* Must be able to obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check and National Police Check
