The opportunity
IMDEX Limited have an opportunity for a Regional Finance Manager for Asia Pacific (APAC) to join the finance team. Reporting to the Global Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, this is a permanent, full-time position based in Balcatta and will lead the APAC finance team as well as providing support to the APAC Regional General Manager. We are looking for a proactive leader with a "big picture" mindset who is forward thinking and can drive improvement and change to support the global finance transformation strategy. Key to this position will be the ability to develop and lead a high performing finance function, build relationships with operational stakeholders and transition finance to a forward thinking, value-add function.
Key Responsibilities
* Regional implementation of the global finance transformation strategy, including automation, process optimisation and offshoring
* Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and improve quality across the region
* Drive a high-performance culture across the regional finance team, fostering accountability, innovation, and excellence
* Deliver insightful analysis and actionable recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency
* Instil a business partnering mindset within finance to collaborate with operational leaders to support regional strategy, identify value-add opportunities and drive performance improvements
* Develop and implement robust financial processes and controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.
* Lead the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, ensuring timely and accurate submissions
* Management of financial accounting, regional transactional processing, compliance, governance and tax requirements
To be successful
This role will suit a finance leader who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and collaborating with regional and global stakeholders. The successful candidate will be forward thinking, able to challenge the status quo, comfortable with leading change and willing to adopt a hands-on approach. Suitable candidates will possess the following:
* CA/CPA and degree qualified (accounting/finance or similar)
* Minimum of 12 years work experience gained in a global/multi-national mining technology company
* Demonstrated experience in multi-faceted businesses incorporating manufacturing, services and digital components
* Proven experience in delivering regional finance transformation including automation, process optimisation and offshoring
* Strong knowledge / experience in financial accounting, management accounting, reporting, budgeting and forecasting
* Experienced in managing teams and finance processes.
* Willingness to work unsociable hours to support the global nature of the business
* Strong business, financial acumen and critical thinking skills
* Broad tax knowledge across multiple jurisdictions, including exposure to Transfer Pricing policies
* A 'big picture approach' without compromising attention to detail.
* Planning, scheduling and ability to effectively prioritise and deal with competing priorities.
