About the role
Are you a passionate outdoor enthusiast, eager to inspire and engage young people? Silverband Lodge is seeking a qualified and experienced outdoor activity instructor to instruct and lead specialised outdoor activities and/or lead groups on residential and journey based camps. This role is for Term 3 2025.
In this full time role, you will:
* Lead specialised activities including abseiling, canoeing, swimming, high rope, bike riding, bushwalking
* Lead non specialised activities such as map reading, low ropes, bouldering, archery, bush cooking
* Plan and organise camp programs and develop activity programs and new activities
* Act as a mentor to activity instructors and holiday camp counsellors
* Demonstrate a commitment to outstanding customer service
* Uphold a strong commitment to safety in all activities

Qualifications and Skills
* Tertiary qualification (Degree or Cert IV) in Outdoor Education/Leadership or similar
* Minimum of 12 months+ of professional experience as an outdoor educator
* Demonstrated Leadership experience
* Senior First Aid certification (Wilderness First Aid highly desirable)
* Working with children check, police check and driver’s license
* A good level of physical fitness
