Join fellow Red Cross volunteers and members in honouring the essential role of humanitarian workers in times of peace and conflict, while promoting our services at one of Brisbane’s most revered civic events. The Opportunity How can I help? Our Parade Volunteers assist with: Veteran support and liaison Assisting Parade Route Marshals Provision of information at Red Cross and Parade Marquees Set up and / or pack down of the event What do I need to bring? A reusable water bottle to limit single-use plastic Wear closed-in, comfortable shoes Wear comfortable clothing (please wear your Red Cross polo if you have one) Own dietary-specific snacks if required Personal sun protective gear (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen etc) Personal rain appropriate gear if needed (please check weather forecast ahead of the event) Further Information How do I get there? You will meet us at: Queens Gardens, 144 George St., Brisbane City QLD 4000 No experience necessary, you will be provided with training on the day.
