We're looking for an Intermediate Civil Engineer who wants more than just a job title. This role is for someone who wants to build a long-term career, develop genuine authority as an engineer, and progress confidently toward a Senior Civil Engineer role.

Role Description
You'll work closely with Senior Engineers and Directors on live projects across Australia, with strong exposure to construction interfaces, not just desk-based design.
Your work will include:
* Civil design and documentation (supervise & coordinate with the design team) that is buildable, cost-aware, and fit-for-purpose
* Site involvement, inspections, and contractor engagement
* Identifying issues early and
solving them sensibly, not passing them downstream
* Applying standards and codes with judgement, not blind compliance
* Supporting junior engineers, designers and drafters through practical guidance and example
* Contributing to continuous improvement of JCE systems, details, and workflows
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys thinking, deciding, and taking responsibility.
The Engineer We're Looking For
You're likely to be someone who:
* Holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or equivalent
* Has real construction or contractor-side experience (highly valued)
* Applies a practical, common-sense engineering approach
* Takes initiative instead of waiting to be told
* Communicates clearly with contractors, clients, and other engineers
* Understands risk, cost, and buildability, not just calculations
* Wants to grow into a trusted Senior Engineer, not just climb a hierarchy
* RPEV / CPEng is beneficial.
If you're not yet registered but are capable of achieving registration within 12 months, we fully support that pathway.
