Council is seeking a motivated and skilled Team Leader Roads to oversee the planning, coordination and delivery of Council's road maintenance and construction programs. This role provides day‐to‐day leadership to the Roads Team and supports high‐quality, safe and efficient service delivery for our community.
The Role
* Permanent full time with fortnightly RDO
* Band 5 Depot - $78,945 to $90,669 plus superannuation
You will be responsible for coordinating road maintenance and construction activities, supervising staff and contractors, and ensuring works are delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities Include
* Coordinating road maintenance and construction works
* Supervising operations staff and contractors
* Scheduling and planning road activities and forward works programs
* Monitoring budgets and contributing to departmental planning
* Ensuring compliance with OHS, policies and regulatory requirements
* Maintaining work plans, databases and documentation
* Supporting a positive team culture and strong communication
About You
We are looking for someone with strong leadership skills and practical experience in road construction or maintenance.
You Will Bring
* Experience in civil construction, road maintenance or similar operational work
* Ability to lead, motivate and support staff
* Strong organisational and planning skills
* Confidence supervising contractors and allocating resources
* Understanding of OHS requirements and safe work practices
* Good communication skills and the ability to prepare reports
* Relevant certificates (Frontline Management, Civil Construction, plant tickets) desirable
