About the opportunity
Brunswick South LPO is seeking an experienced Retail Manager with substantial experience to join our business. Key responsibilities will include:
* Overseeing all day-to-day retail operations to ensure smooth and efficient shop management
* Selling goods and services to customers and advising them on how to use them efficiently and effectively to provide a positive experience
* Determining the products mix, stock levels, doing stocktake to inform manager to order and/or organising for supplying
* Maintaining adequate stock levels, ensuring that stock is present at accurate levels to meet demands
* Ensuring the accurate record of financial transactions, daily cash intakes & settlement reports
* Liaising and coordinating pickups, deliveries of goods and services with couriers and other contractors
* Promoting and advertising goods and services to customers
* Ensuring adherence to all health and safety regulations, plus franchise and licenced standards and requirements
Qualification, Skills, Experience
To be considered for this position, the applicant MUST HAVE the following:
* At least diploma or higher AQF qualification in retail management or related fields
* Substantial full-time experience in retail work & environment required
* 1 year experience in LTO post office outlet is highly desirable
* Ability to understand customer's issues through various communication methods
* Strong communication, presentation, problem-solving, and time management skills
* Ability to work independently and within a team
* A positive, results-oriented and customer-focused attitude
* Fluency in a community language is preferable to support our dynamic and multicultural customer base
