We have a role available for a Procurement Administrator to join our Defence Division. This is a permanent full-time position that could be based at any of the main defence bases in the Northern Territory.

About the role
You will be responsible for supporting the Industry Engagement Manager in managing procurement activities for this large contract that covers multiple bases.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ascertain procurement needs and develop specifications.
* Conducting comprehensive procurement activities, including market research, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiation.
* Developing, managing and evaluating tenders or contractor engagement, ensuring transparency and compliance with relevant regulations.
* Ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints and seeking cost-saving opportunities.
* Overseeing the contractor on-boarding process, ensuring all necessary documentation and compliance requirements are met.
* Managing contractor performance and managing contractor amendments of required.
* Maintaining up-to-date records of all procurement activities and contracts.
* Providing regular reports on procurement activities and contractor performance to the Industry Engagement Manager.
About you
Our ideal candidate will have:
* 3+ years' experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within the defence sector.
* Experience with tender development and management.
* Proven track record of successful contractor management and on-boarding.
* Strong understanding of procurement laws and regulations application to state-wide contracts.
* Proficient communication skills and the capacity to convey information clearly.
* Tertiary Qualification in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is highly desirable.
You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
