As a Cellar Hand, you will play a critical role in the production of high-quality wines by assisting the winemaking team with cellar operations and blending processes. This is a hands-on position that requires working closely with the production team to ensure quality and efficiency.
* Manage bulk wine quality throughout the bottling process to ensure Production Lines run efficiently and within cost targets through effective cellar management.
* Carry out wine movements and operations as per cellar notes to maintain consistency and quality.
* Ensure batch numbers for additive traceability are correct and recorded to meet regulatory requirements.
* Monitor bulk wine storage conditions to prevent spoilage and contamination.
* Arrange and carry out filter and filler sterilization and CIP to maintain equipment hygiene.
* Coordinate and execute Kosher Wine and Organic Wine processes to meet market demands.
* Follow cellar notes and guidelines to ensure compliance and quality.
* Perform other duties as directed by the Winemaker or Assistant Winemaker to support the winemaking process.
* Support the HACCP Food Safety system by recognizing, solving, or reporting defects and problems as they arise to maintain a safe working environment.
About You:
* Ability to lift up to 20kg to perform physical tasks safely.
* Previous experience as a Cellar Hand or in a related field is essential.
* Strong attention to detail to maintain accuracy and precision in your work.
