The South Australian Certificate of Education Board (SACE Board) of South Australia's primary role is the provision of the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) to government, non-government and international schools.
Our purpose is to "shape education so that students thrive" which is achieved through working closely with our stakeholders to inspire, innovate and create the best outcomes for students and their communities so that SACE Graduates are capable to construct their own futures to contribute to a sustainable and socially just world.
The IMPACT you will drive at the SACE Board
Education Consultants will have the exciting opportunity to lead a significant program of Subject renewal and be responsible for the strategic development, recognition, and implementation of curriculum, assessment, and quality assurance. As systems leaders, they bring expertise in change and co-design to build strong partnerships with schools, external stakeholders, and the wider community to ensure maximum positive impact on students' ability to thrive.
What you will BRING
* A passion for education and a commitment to our thrive agenda.
* In-depth knowledge of the theory and practice of educational curriculum and assessment.
* Sound understanding of national and international directions in curriculum, assessment and quality assurance.
* Experience in leading change and partnering with school leaders, teachers and key stakeholders.
* Excellent communication skills including successful experience in developing collaborative working relationships and networks across a range of stakeholders.
* Capacity to lead adaptive change and comfort in work in uncertainty and ambiguity.
* Expertise in any of the faculty areas of Science and Mathematics.
Qualifications
An appropriate tertiary degree in education and/or training is essential.
Special Conditions
* Intrastate travel to regional and remote locations; international and interstate travel may be required.
* Some out-of-hours work.
* The incumbent works under the SACE Board of South Australia Act 1983.
* An intense time of activity within the SACE Board of South Australia occurs between October and December. For some roles, the incumbent would not normally be able to take planned leave during this period.
* Appointment is subject to a satisfactory Working with Children Check from the Department of Human Services and in accordance with the SACE Board policy.

Remuneration
ASO7 classification level $108,109 - $116,864 per annum plus super and access to attractive salary packaging.
There is one position, for a period of 2 years.
