GTNT Group are proud to partner with Charles Darwin University (CDU) to deliver an exciting Traineeship opportunity for a school leaver who would like to get a head start in their chosen career. As a Business Trainee, you'll gain on-the-job training and experience in a range of administrative duties in a variety of work areaswhilst completing a nationally recognised Certificate III in Business (BSB30120).
CDU is a multi-sector university that provides training and education to more than 21,000 students across its eight campuses and centres in the Northern Territory and Australia.
The CDU business traineeship is a 12-month full-time position for school leavers seeking a head start in their chosen career. The program enables the trainee to complete a Certificate III in Business while working in a role that provides on-the-job training and experience across a range of administrative duties.
About the Role
This role will be located within the TAFE Professional Service Industries TeamAlice Springs Campus.
In the role you will assist the work area with a range of administrative duties including but not limited to:
* Providing administrative and clerical support to CDU TAFE staff and students
* Delivering customer-focused service to students, staff, and visitors in person and via electronic communication
* Maintaining organised records, files, and data systems
* Organising meetings including catering, venue, and logistics
* Assisting with finance tasks such as credit card reconciliations and purchase orders
* Supporting travel bookings and travel management tasks
* Assisting with campus marketing, events, and communications
* Serving as the first point of contact for visitors to CDU TAFE
During your traineeship you will develop skills to:
* Proficiently use CDU systems as required
* Use Microsoft 365 applications to assist work activities
* Observe CDU policies, regulations, and relevant legislative requirements
* Manage and organise daily workload to meet deadlines
* Gain sound computer literacy skills and learn how to apply them in a work setting
To be successful in this role, you will have/be:
* Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islanders are encouraged to apply
* Ability to obtain a National Criminal history check
* NT OCHRE Card
Qualification Description:
This qualification reflects the role of individuals in a variety of Business Services job roles. It is likely that these individuals are establishing their own work performance. Individuals in these roles carry out a range of routine procedural, clerical, administrative or operational tasks that require technology and business skills. They apply a broad range of competencies using some discretion, judgment and relevant theoretical knowledge. They may provide technical advice and support to a team.
Nominal Duration: This qualification has a set nominal duration of 12 months, this is the amount of time you need to be committed to, for successful completion of this qualification
