RPAH is one of Australia's leading hospitals, providing an extensive range of diagnostic and treatment services. Its specialities include cardiology, obstetrics and gynaecology, cancer, respiratory medicine, neurology, liver and kidney transplants. The Waitlist Bookings Officer supports the management of elective surgery waitlist bookings for Royal Prince Alfred (RPA) Hospital and Institute of Rheumatology and Orthopaedics (IRO) and its timely and accurate data submission in accordance with the Ministry of Health Elective Surgery Access policy. The position will perform administrative functions in collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders to support the patient’s pre-operative journey. Ideal Candidate Holds knowledge of the MOH Elective Surgery Access policy and/or experience in hospital surgical waitlist practices such as the scheduling of surgical/diagnostic procedures. High level of attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to extrapolate, analyse and interpret data, information, perform audits and reporting. Experience in the use of hospital patient administration systems (PAS), electronic medical record (eMR) and Microsoft Office packages including the ability to accurately upload and update information on the eMR.
