The Grocer on Hammett is currently seeking an experienced Deli All Rounder to join our fast paced team. You will assume a key role within the team and will be responsible in assisting with the smooth operation of the Grocer.
ABOUT THE ROLE
* Providing responsive, exceptional service to deli concession customers by answering questions attentively, making recommendations, providing samples and responding to requests
* Updating and refreshing displays, cases and other customer facing areas to ensure a visually full offering and that new items and promotions are showcased
* Complete delicatessen opening and closing procedures
* Ensuring that work areas are ready to service customers by cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, equipment and floors, rubbish removal and inspecting equipment for good working order
* Following all food safety and sanitation procedures established by the company and other regulatory agencies
* Maintain the work area and equipment throughout the working day in a hygienic and safe condition
ABOUT YOU
* Excellent customer service, communication and courteous disposition with an efficient approach to handling customer requests, questions and complaints
* Ability to understand and follow all company procedures and regulations regarding food handling
* A high standard of personal cleanliness and hygiene
* Ability to lift heavy items such as meat cartons, equipment
* Ability to work in a team environment, as well as ability to work independently
* Commitment to work health and safety standards
