Your new role
Reporting to the Production Manager, you'll be responsible for maintenance, installation, and diagnostics on a variety of fixed plant machinery across the facility. This role is key to meeting production targets and includes a strong focus on safety, parts management and maintenance reporting. Working hours will be Monday to Friday, 7am-3pm, with potential overtime based on business needs. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Coordinating and executing maintenance schedules to minimise production downtime and ensure operational targets are achieved
* Troubleshooting and fault diagnosis of all equipment
* Identifying areas of process and efficiency improvements across plant operations
* Complying with OHS responsibilities following safe work procedures
* Completing hot work permits, risk assessments, and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) as required
* Performing basic welding and fabrication to support plant and equipment maintenance.
What you'll need to succeed
You are proactive, safety-conscious, and an excellent communicator. With strong diagnostic abilities, you effectively identify issues and implement practical solutions. Reliable and self-motivated, you demonstrate a strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. You also have:
* A relevant mechanical trade qualification
* Experience in programmed maintenance in an industrial environment
* Excellent attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement
* Previous experience with fixed plant machinery
* Strong communication skills
* Excellent decision-making and time management skills
* Welding and fabrication experience
* Fork lift licence, Working at Heights and Elevated Work Platform licence
* A current boiler licence will be highly regarded.
