Who we are looking for:
The Catering Team Leader position is the role that requires a deep understanding of overall Catering operations and management. These roles typically involve:
* Reporting to the Catering Supervisor, overseeing the floor operations and coordinate between different venues (Viva Restaurant & Ish Cafe)
* Working with the Catering Supervisor to provide leadership and coaching to all venue employees
* Implementing policies and procedures to improve efficiency
* Analysing performance metrics and making data-driven decisions
* Leading and effectively communicating with the teams
* Achieve high levels of customer service and manage customer relations to encourage return business
* Resolving customer complaints in a professional manner
* Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
Functions Supervisor oversees daily operations, coordinates staff activities, ensures procedures are followed and supports the team to achieve performance and safety targets.
* Reporting to the Functions and Events Manager of the venue, this role will oversee the floor operations of all functions and events
* Supervise the function business in a hands-on capacity on a daily basis, including set ups & pack downs
* Working with the Functions and Events Manager to provide leadership and coaching to all function service staff
* Achieve high levels of customer service and manage customer relations to encourage return business
* Leading and effectively communicating with a team of staff
* In the absence of management, follow up all customer enquiries in relation to new function bookings, tours of the venue, conduct meetings and relay all relevant function information as per organisational procedure.
Pre-requisites:
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role, demonstrating strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage and guide teams toward achieving organizational goals
* Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate (RSA)
* A strong knowledge of hospitality operations
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Have the ability to multitask, prioritise and manage time effectively
* A team player attitude with demonstrated leadership skills
* Ability to work a flexible roster including nights and weekend shifts
