Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced
Management Accountant
to join our team in Melbourne. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing financial insights and analysis to support decision making and drive business growth. This is a full-time, permanent position offering great opportunities for career growth and development.
Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze monthly management reports, including budget vs. actuals, variance analysis, and commentary
Monitor and report on key financial and operational performance indicators
Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts
Identify areas for cost savings and process improvements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support business decision making
Prepare financial models and conduct scenario analysis to support strategic planning
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
Support the month-end and year-end close process
Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required
Requirements
Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA or CA qualification preferred
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a professional services environment
Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles
Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling and analysis
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Experience with Netsuite accounting software is desirable
