Location: Greenough Regional Prison

Salary: V2WT2 - $87,064 - $88,580 p.a. plus 12% super, POA

About the Role

In this secure, well‑regulated workplace you will manage horticultural operations, oversee the care and maintenance of gardens and production areas, and mentor offenders as they develop new skills. With a strong focus on security, teamwork and personal growth, you will help create a positive and inclusive environment where everyone is treated with dignity, supporting the Department's vision of building safer, stronger communities.


Eligibility

* A current valid C Class Driver's licence
* A valid Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) or must be obtained prior to commencement
* Forklift Ticket (Desirable )
* HR Class Driver's licence (Desirable )
* A current valid White Card (Construction Induction Training accreditation) or willingness to obtain

Permanent positions – To be eligible for appointment to permanent positions in the West Australian Public Sector you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status in Australia.

* A detailed resume and cover letter highlighting your transferable skills and achievements, with a particular focus on experience in managing large scale grounds, gardens, and turf.

Pool Recruitment

This pool will be open for a period of 12 months from the day after the breach of standard claim period closes. Permanent, fixed term, and full time appointments may be offered as vacancies arise; however, an appointment is not guaranteed.

The Department of Justice uses recruitment pools to build a bank of talent for future opportunities. Applicants found suitable in this pool may be considered for subsequent, similar vacancies, with the Department of Justice for the duration of the pool.
