Responsibilities
Technical
Perform review and compilation of historical exploration data.
Undertake independent geological assessment and review of client project areas to assist in target generation and ranking.
Plan and prepare budgets for exploration work programs to define and systematically evaluate prospects and targets.
Effectively conduct field exploration programmes including geological mapping, geochemical sampling, geophysical surveys and logging drillholes.
Lead and enforce company and client safety requirements to ensure all risks are appropriately managed.
Manage dispatch of field samples to laboratories for assay.
Develop and interpret 2D and 3D geological datasets and models based on exploration results.
Utilise a range of software including GIS, geological modelling and Microsoft programmes to generate exploration reports.
Assist clients with statutory compliance reporting obligations.
Cost Control
Ensure that exploration programmes are planned and conducted to optimise exploration budget.

Take a leadership role in training and mentoring the geological team.

Comply with Company and Client objectives, policies, procedures, safe work practices and relevant legislation.
Qualification & experience
A BSc majoring in geology/geophysics as a minimum
Higher award science degrees and/or Business qualifications such as MBA highly regarded
Minimum of 8 years experience as an exploration geologist preferably in Cu/Au, Li, REE's, Uranium, Coal.
Need to demonstrate proficiency in a range of database, GIS, geological modelling, project management and Microsoft Office software
Commitment to exemplary workplace health and safety standards
Current Open C class driver's Licence
Current Senior First Aid Certificate
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

We are currently undertaking exploration programmes for porphyry copper, epithermal gold, uranium and other mineralisation in Queensland, the Northern Territory, Fiji and PNG.
