Who We Are
Healthcare needs a better rhythm: one that keeps care continuous and deeply human. Heidi builds an AI Care Partner that works alongside clinicians to make that possible. We're a team of doctors, engineers, designers, researchers, and creatives building tools that help clinicians stay focused on what matters most: their patients.
Role
Helps Heidi operate across US, UK, Australia and beyond – a central platform function that connects every Heidi product (Scribe, Comms, Evidence) with the external systems clinicians already use. The role owns the integration framework, the customer‐facing marketplace, and the roadmap determining connector priorities. It balances platform‐wide standards with customer‐specific needs and works directly with accounts, regional teams, and commercial stakeholders.
Responsibilities
* Own product strategy and roadmap for Heidi's integrations surface – framework, marketplace, connectors – setting clear goals and deliverables.
* Decide which integrations to build, deepen, or deprecate, balancing customer demand, regional pull and engineering cost.
* Serve as the central integration layer for all product lines, ensuring a consistent path through the integration framework.
* Own the Integration Marketplace as a unified experience across Scribe, Comms, and Evidence, including discoverability and the closed‐loop on integration requests.
* Drive migration to the new integration framework so every connector benefits from shared infrastructure (write‐back, error handling, analytics, multi‐tenancy).
* Translate complex EMR realities (HL7, FHIR, Cerner, Athena, MEDITECH, Best Practice) into product specs that engineering can build.
* Set and maintain integration quality and reliability standards (error handling, latency, recovery, write‐back confirmations).
* Coordinate across US, UK, and APAC regional teams, consolidating competing priorities into a coherent platform roadmap.
* Engage with EHR partners, integration engines, and platform teams to stay ahead of API changes and certification requirements.
* Translate field signals into platform fixes, consolidating repeated gaps across accounts or regions.
* Extend integrations beyond EMRs to document stores, clinical references, scheduling systems, and secure messaging.
What You'll Need
* BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Sciences or related field.
* 4+ years in product, integrations, or technical roles – experience shipping more valued than tenure.
* Real fluency with healthcare interoperability: SMART on FHIR, HL7 v2 (ADT, ORM, ORU), FHIR resources, OAuth flows for clinical apps.
* Experience shipping platform or framework products where one customer's build becomes a configurable module for others.
* Strong judgment in build‐vs‐configure trade‐offs, and ability to hold a coherent roadmap under pressure from multiple regional teams.
* Diagnostic data fluency: reading integration logs to distinguish framework issues from customer‐specific problems.
* Passion for software design and a belief that great design transforms a clinician's day.
* Proficiency with AI tools (Cursor, Claude Code, etc.) and ability to showcase work built with them.
* Fluency with core LLM concepts and systems (prompting, fine‐tuning, embeddings, retrieval) and ability to translate these into reliable, user‐facing products.
* Strong opinions and the humility to shift when right.
Benefits
* Flexible hybrid working environment, 3 days in office.
* Generous personal development budget of $500 per annum.
* Learning opportunities from top engineers and creatives within a diverse team.
* Potential equity stake in the company tied to success.
* Chance to create global impact as part of a leading healthtech startup.
