Talk to us about how this could work for you.Period of Appointment12 monthsHours per fortnightUp to 76 hours - flexible options available.DutiesAssist the Senior Practitioner to evaluate, authorise and monitor the use of restrictive practices.Act as a delegate of the Senior Practitioner in accordance with the Disability Rights, Inclusion and Safeguarding Act 2024.Provide information in relation to the rights of persons with a disability who may be subject to restrictive practices.Provide information and education in relation to restrictive practices and techniques that reduce and eliminate the use of restrictive practices.Provide practice leadership by delivering specialist advice and guidance in relation to the support of people with disability, and by fostering collaborative relationships with service providers to promote high-quality, rights-based practice.Provide advice on high priority and complex issues and write reports, briefs and correspondence containing informed comment and recommendations.The incumbent can expect to be allocated duties, not specifically mentioned in this document, that are within the capacity, qualifications and experience normally expected from persons occupying positions at this classification level.Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment.
It is the employee's responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change.
This includes notifying the Employer of any new criminal convictions and/or if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.Satisfactory completion of a relevant qualification of an approved allied health professional course of study at a recognised tertiary institution.
