What success looks like in this role:
As a Senior Field Engineer at Unisys on an Australian government account, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality technical support and services to our clients.
Responsibilities:
* Proven experience in a Deskside support environment performing fault investigation, triaging, and resolution
* Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues, performing system installations and maintenance, and providing on-site support to ensure the smooth operation of our clients' IT infrastructure.
* You will also be expected to mentor and guide junior engineers, ensuring they develop the skills necessary to excel in their roles
* Experience with desktop support, server support, hardware, network and software installation and troubleshooting
* Experience with supporting a corporate Windows environment
* Experience with supporting physical and virtual environments (Desktop and Servers)
* Operating system support (Windows 10 & 7, Linux, and other operating systems)
* Office 365, Outlook, exchange, and other critical business application support Standalone Support
* Printing (installation, deployment, configuration, disposals)
* Complex Software installation and troubleshooting
* Network (triaging, fault diagnostic, root cause analysis)
* Software and Hardware diagnostic skills and building/upgrading PC's
* Test and Tag experience highly regarded
* Asset Management experience highly regarded
* Minimum of 4 years in supporting Deskside support environment
* Driver's License required (Automatic).
You will be successful in this role if you have:
* NV1 Security Clearance must have for this role.
* Strong background in IT, with extensive experience in Deskside Support, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
