The Opportunity
Due to ongoing growth, my client is looking for an Intermediate to senior level Estimator to join their Newcastle team. You’ll take ownership of 1–2 tenders at a time, preparing detailed estimates and bid submissions while collaborating closely with the Estimating Manager, peers, and cadets.
This role will report into the QLD based Estimating Manager and be the sole Estimator for the Newcastle office. You will from time to time get involved in Contracts Administration work in downtime from tendering.

Key responsibilities include:
Preparing cost plans, take-offs, and tender submissionsPricing prelims and assessing subcontractor pricingDeveloping methodology, program, and bid strategyLiaising with the project and delivery teams to ensure smooth handoverLight duties in Contracts Administration as required
About YouDegree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management5+ years estimating experience with a commercial builderSound understanding of local construction methods and trade pricingStrong Buildsoft skills and solid subcontractor relationships
