Commercial Finance Manager Job Description
JBS Australia is seeking a skilled Commercial Finance Manager to join our team in Melbourne, VIC. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in delivering financial insights and strategic analysis to support data-driven decision-making that drives revenue growth and profitability.
About the Role:
This position acts as a trusted advisor, combining financial expertise with commercial acumen to influence key business outcomes. The ideal candidate builds strong cross-functional partnerships with Sales, Operations, and Planning teams, fostering collaboration, and aligning financial strategy with business objectives.
* Deliver Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly financial reporting with the focus on Sales, Cost of Sales, and Raw material margins.
* Analyse and explain variances between actuals, forecasts, and budgets, translating financial data into actionable insights.
* Partner with leadership to drive margin improvement initiatives and monitor ROI on key commercial and operational projects.
* Provide financial decision support to Sales, Operations, and Planning teams on pricing, product mix, customer profitability, and cost efficiency.
About You:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
* MBA or CPA/CA preferred.
* 5+ years experience in commercial finance, FP&A, or business partnering roles.
* Experience in Production and Manufacturing environment advantageous.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; experience with ERP systems and BI tools.
