About the role:
Join our team as a Payroll Officer and play a key role in ensuring accurate and efficient payroll processing, in line with Aged Care Awards, Enterprise Agreements, legislation and organisational policies. This position supports Care Community General Managers and Administration Officers, provides clear payroll guidance, and delivers a reliable, high‑quality service to team members.
This role is perfect for someone with strong Dayforce expertise and experience managing end-to-end payroll in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of Emplive would be beneficial.
Key Responsibilities:
End-to-end payroll processing for a large workforce using Dayforce.
Ensuring compliance with enterprise agreements, modern awards, and payroll legislation.
Managing payroll queries and providing expert guidance to employees and managers.
Processing terminations, leave calculations, and payroll adjustments.
Reconciling payroll data and ensuring accurate reporting.
Collaborating with HR, finance, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth payroll operations.
Supporting system improvements and process enhancements.
About You:
Minimum of 1 year's payroll experience, ideally within healthcare or aged care sectors is preferred
Proven experience processing payroll for multi-site operations or large employee groups
Dayforce payroll system experience highly regarded
Familiarity with Emplive is an advantage
Up-to-date understanding of Australian payroll legislation, awards, and compliance
Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to meet deadlines
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders
