As our Senior Scientist (AgTech) you will identify and evaluate technologies that support and meet vegetable industry priorities for an advanced field mechanisation program and work collaboratively with commercial vegetable producers, project partners and technology providers to integrate automated and mechanised solutions.
As Our Senior Scientist (AgTech) You Will
Identify and evaluate technologies that support and meet vegetable industry priorities for an advanced field mechanisation programWork collaboratively with commercial vegetable producers, project partners and technology providers to integrate automated and mechanised solutionsIdentify, analyse, and resolve issues to assist producers customise, validate and adopt technology solutionsCoordinate and develop technology trials that record system impacts through the analysis of farming system data and producer adoption challengesIn collaboration with international project partners, lead domestic and international study tours focused on mechanisation options for the Australian vegetable industryCommunicate and report project objectives and outcomes, through written, verbal and digital communications as well as field events and other forums, to industry and other relevant stakeholders.
Mandatory Requirements
A current 'C' class drivers licence\The ability to undertake domestic and international travelIt is a mandatory requirement for a professional officer to possess an Australian Bachelor degree (AQF level 7 or equivalent) or higher in agricultural science, technology or mechatronic engineering from a recognised tertiary institutionFor international qualifications, the applicant will need their qualification assessed,to determine comparability with the Australian Qualifications Framework.
