As General Counsel and Assistant Director-General, you will provide expert advice on complex legal matters, lead a high-performing legal team, and strengthen governance and integrity frameworks.
How You'll Contribute Deliver high-level strategic advice on complex legal matters, including emerging critical issues for the Government, constitutional and administrative law matters, and sensitive litigation, claims and disputes.
Provide advice and insights on the department's governance and integrity frameworks and ensure alignment with contemporary best practice and robust legislative requirements.
Represent the department at national forums, committees and intergovernmental engagements, driving collaboration to address priorities and significant legal issues.
