Andromeda Robotics is building Abi, the first emotionally intelligent humanoid companion robot designed to bring care, conversation, and joy to people who need it. Abi is deployed across aged care and healthcare; we are scaling fast with an engineering-first culture focused on pushing the limits of what's possible. This is a rare moment to join: post-technical validation, pre-ubiquity, building the team that will take Abi from early access to global scale.

We are looking for people in rural areas who are near some of the homes we're collaborating with in areas such as:

The Role
More and more aged care homes are welcoming Abi into their facilities. With our rapid growth into rural communities, we are looking for enthusiastic and compassionate individuals to join our team on a contracting basis as Robot Companion Facilitator, or our Robot Wranglers. In this role, you\'ll represent Andromeda Robotics and our mission to reduce loneliness and spark joy through technology. You\'ll work alongside Abi to engage with residents and patients in nursing homes and children\'s hospitals through conversation, games, and music. You\'ll lead group sessions and one-on-one interactions, helping to foster genuine connections, bring energy, and make every session enjoyable for all participants.
How You\'ll Make An Impact
* Facilitate Group Sessions: Lead engaging and interactive group activities with Abi, including games and exercises designed to stimulate cognitive and social responses
* Conduct One-on-One Interactions: Facilitate meaningful and personalised conversations with residents and patients
* Work with Technology: You don\'t need to be highly technical — just confident and curious. You\'ll be comfortable operating Abi, troubleshooting basic issues, and working in a fast-paced environment where adaptability is key
* Monitor and Adapt: Assess the needs and responses of participants, adapting activities and interactions to suit individual preferences and abilities
* Manage Session Logistics: Ensure sessions start and end on time, maintain and set up equipment, communicate effectively with care home professionals, and provide structured feedback for continuous improvement
* Represent the Brand: You\'ll be an ambassador for Andromeda Robotics, embodying our professionalism, warmth, and innovation in every interaction with residents, staff, and partners

* Valid Driver\'s License: Ability to drive to different locations as needed, preferably with a car
* Preferred Qualifications: Psychology, anthropology, social work or caregiving, drama or theatre, or public speaking
If you\'ve worked in a similar role before, that\'s a massive bonus! But if not, don\'t worry. What matters most is your enthusiasm, compassion, and belief in our mission. We\'re looking at hiring on 3-month casual agreements at first, with potential for extensions and additional opportunities for high performers.

Details will be provided if an employment offer is made. Since this is a casual agreement, the salary will be an hourly rate.
