Afternoon Shift Fork Lift/Machine Operator - Toowoomba
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift/Machine Operator to join our team immediately. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise within our warehouse. The ideal candidate should have prior experience working the afternoon shift and be proficient in operating various types of production machinery and forklifts. This is an urgent requirement, and the selected candidate will need to be available to start as soon as possible.
Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift to load, unload, move, stack, and organize products and materials
- Safely and efficiently handle and maneuver heavy objects and materials
- Conduct pre-operational checks on forklift equipment and report any maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor
- Ensure accurate counting and documentation of inventory and materials
- Comply with all safety regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure smooth operations
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
Requirements
- Proven experience as a forklift operator
- Valid forklift operator certification or licenseift role
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts and gantry crane
- Ability to work efficiently in a rapid-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in counting and documentation
- Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy objects and materials
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility to work night shifts and overtime as needed
