Their core focus is designing, building, owning, and operating solar and battery energy storage systems, along with integrated energy solutions that support their customers' transition to net zero.Role Responsibilities:Identify and qualify new business opportunities across the commercial and industrial energy sectorManage the full sales cycle, from initial engagement through to signed contractDevelop and present tailored solar and BESS solutions that align with client sustainability and financial goalsPrepare and coordinate compelling proposals, bids, and tenders for solar and energy storage projectsLead commercial negotiations and secure contracts in line with strategic objectivesBuild and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, including sustainability leads, CFOs, and operational teamsCollaborate with engineering, finance, and delivery teams to ensure solutions are technically and commercially viableMaintain an accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline and regularly report on sales performanceMonitor industry developments, competitor activity, and market trends to inform strategy and positioningEnsure smooth transition of signed projects to the delivery team, maintaining client confidence throughout the processAbout you:Demonstrated success in business development or sales in the renewable energy, commercial solar, or battery storage sectorsExperience selling to commercial and industrial clients with a strong understanding of their operational and sustainability driversSkilled in managing complex sales processes including tenders, financial modelling, proposal writing, and contract negotiationAbility to communicate complex technical solutions in a clear and commercially compelling wayStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholdersExcellent organisational and time management skills, with proficiency in CRM systemsExperience with embedded networks, microgrids, or behind-the-meter energy solutionsFamiliarity with relevant Australian energy market regulations, policy incentives, and renewable energy frameworksBackground in working within or alongside engineering, delivery, or asset management teamsNext Steps:If you are an energy professional with proven experience selling Solar & BESS to C&I; businesses this is the role for you.
